Residential & Commercial Painting
Prepare to fail... as the saying goes, and this couldn't be more true for painting. We are meticulous with our prep, filling all cracks, scrapes, dinks and holes before sanding all walls and ceilings to a smooth finish. This takes some time, but pays to create a perfect canvas for your chosen colour. We've documented our process in detail here.
Our prep doesn't start with the walls and ceilings though. We protect all your furniture, ornaments, joinery and flooring like it's our own. For hardwood flooring we use a heavy duty card and for carpets we use an adhesive plastic covering.
We have vast experience using a variety of paints, from quality durable paints to mineral based paints.
Removing wallpaper can be a daunting task and it's not often straightforward. Painting a wall previously wallpapered adds to the complexity due to wallpaper adhesive's nature. Thankfully it's a task we've done many times.
If you're looking to add wallpaper to your home, either a mural, a feature wall or a muted textured wallpaper, we're the experts. We use the same preparation process for wallpaper that we use for paint, creating a perfectly smooth canvas ready for your chosen wallpaper.
We can hang a multitude of wallpaper types, from Vinyl to Natural Grasscloth.

Exterior Woodwork, Masonry & Metalwork Painting
We cover all types of external painting, from full house painting, masonry, metalwork to the painting of a front door. As is the case with timber windows and doors that haven't been routinely painted and protected, there can be rotten timber. We will always review the health of the timber and can repair if necessary. This will include either splicing new timber in or using market leading resin options.
External work can require scaffolding, and we're happy to arrange with local scaffolding companies to provide this.
Since dry days are few and far between in the UK, we typically wouldn't book external painting in between October - April. There are exceptions to this so please contact us to find out more.
Dust has long been accepted as a necessary evil when it comes to a redecoration project. We use sanding systems that ensure dust is minimised by up to 98%. This includes using extraction systems hooked to all sanding tools.
In addition we will also protect all carpets and wood flooring, and vacuum at the end of each day. We will also seal off rooms where possible. This gives our clients peace of mind that the rest of their property will still be liveable and there won't be the headache of a full house clean once work is completed.

Some clients like to embellish walls before we paint, from dado rails to panelling and we have the skills in-house to provide this.
Likewise we can also offer repairs and installation of features such as architraves, skirting and cornice. We can also complete general property maintenance tasks but this is on a case-by-case basis.
We're proud to be one of the few Painters & Decorators in Manchester who offer Limewash.
Limewash is a paint that's been used for centuries but has seen a resurgence in recent years for its earthy tone and hues. It's made using clay, minerals and natural pigments. As it's a breathable product it's suitable for high moisture areas.
